“Generation Z” Sent “Mankind” a New Text Message:
Everyone recalls this iconic moment when Neil Armstrong stepped foot on the lunar surface to disrupt the system of mankind and lifted us into a new vision of our world. But how does this symbolic moment relate to the present? What does this phrase have to do with this article?
A better question would be: How did we know about the priceless Apollo 11 Mission to land the first humans on the moon?
School!!!
In the United States, most students are on the verge of returning to school to learn and grow interests to be successful in their desired careers. Unfortunately, we are living in the present year of 2020, and all learning, as we know it, has moved online due to COVID 19. But as I wrote this article during this ludicrous pandemic, you know what I realized? I have been using Zoom, Medium, Google Docs, and other applications to enhance my learning and enhance my consciousness of the present without a teacher or sitting in a classroom, but instead educating myself about my passions with emerging technologies.
Which made me wonder: What will happen to schools in the future?
During these uncertain times, education has been impacted by the outside world… along with everything else (international business, travel, vacation, etc.). However, for every generation that has ever existed on planet Earth, the education system has always, and forever will, update to the current advancements in society.
The Digital Experiment
Here, I got an experiment for you. I want you to analyze these two photos of how the education of the past correlates to the education of today. Tell me if you see any similarities or differences.
So… is there any other difference between these two photos besides being constructed by hand…Yes, Everything else in the images!!!
Pardon my mini-tantrum, but Look at how technology has advanced to the classroom and brought innovations to the education system we had back then. 100 years ago, we could barely afford to have books and school desks to learn, let alone mandatory education for all students. Today, we are seeing technology expanding education to greater strides in the development of students to become successful in life…..Right?
The “Ludicrous” Problem
Society has been “upgrading” through discovery, inventing, philosophy, and breakthroughs in the pursuit of science and for humanity itself. Guess what? We are seeing these types of breakthroughs more frequently at any time in history than today (Shocker!)🙄.
Currently, in 2020, the environment has taught us that Learning is not an option. We have to inform ourselves daily of our surrounding environments and current events, and never before had we needed to rely on technology more than today.
But before 2020, we were informed as very young kids that there was a system to be followed: you go to school and memorize information that you could regurgitate in college and university to hopefully land you a job and become successful.
Yet when an intellectual genius and/or a group with an extreme level of consciousness rolls around and obliterates the previous system you followed, there are only two decisive options:
- Potentially lose your job because you refuse to change/adapt to the environment
- Adapt to a new system of learning
Children and teenagers are poisoned youth.😉 We are geniuses waiting to launch. But so many young individuals never become the innovators/disruptors/geniuses, let alone get off the “launch pad”. Why?
Our current education has us believing that all we need to do is learn “useless facts” that could be used one day and change our future… Pure BS!!!🙁
Children at this point in time need to be taught a completely different education system than the ones our previous generations had due to the outcomes we face today and the outcomes of tomorrow.
So how would the education system look like?
The Future (Fate) of Education
Learning should not be about memorization and learning basic knowledge concepts that constantly close opportunities for students. The education system will need to reflect an innovative mindset towards students in the very near future.
- The possibility that school might be condensed into more specific courses that allow you to apply the knowledge to real-world outcomes and fundamental problems with the benefits of entrepreneurship (allowing to innovate and create your own ideas) can lead you to a job and make an impact in society.
2. Cell phones are literally digital portals to all the information (facts/opinions, stories, etc.) that have ever existed known to mankind. This leads me to believe schools should not be based on how much information you can memorize, but rather use the digital world to learn information and apply the information to your ambitions/interests (Critical Thinking!!!)
3. Human intelligence is vastly increasing over the years, and our biggest innovation so far to enhance mankind is Artificial Intelligence (AI). In the near or distant future, we can program AI to personalize a certain individual's learning experience, which can benefit people with special needs like ADHD or Dyslexia.
(In my opinion, in potentially 75 years in the future, education may become personal tutoring, except instead of a physical human being in a classroom, it could be a personalized AI robot wherever you go, mostly at-home learning).
Well, that sounds very optimistic about how society could change. So where’s the progress? Eh….. Hold up. 😔
Innovation…or Repetition with Extra Steps?
While technology has risen the human race to the summit of Earth, the internet is also pure BS. Wait. I thought you said technology is a good thing.
- Remember when the teacher or professor clearly says that Wikipedia is not a “reliable source”, but they also mention that any other source is fine, But they never define what a truly reliable source is. 🙁 Let me give you a few seconds for the flashbacks of your English project guidelines to kick in.
I believe that in order for a student to produce an innovative idea, the student needs to experiment with different sources/videos/websites to reveal his personal style of learning. I wonder what that sounds like. Oh yeah!!!
Failure!!!
Well, that’s understandable. But what’s wrong with that?
2. In regular traditional schools, failure is something to be ashamed of and scolded about by your teachers, parents, and yourself. Apparently, one mistake is all it takes to be a sensation into a…. Failure. Failure is how you learn and become stronger. A good example is when you work out and train your muscles. Your muscles fatigue and reach failure. But if you rest and eat healthily, the muscles recover and get stronger for the next time you go to the gym and train.

Now, enough gloating, me. 😎
As I mentioned earlier, schools should not be about memorization and learning basic knowledge concepts that constantly close opportunities for students. The education system will need to reflect an innovative mindset towards students in the very near future. Even with 2020 being the year of impact, the education system will be “updated” for Generation Z to optimize their:
Maximum Human Potential! 😉
NOT Maximum Human Performance! 🙁
So why is there no change?
Currently, I am a 15-year old with the ambition to disrupt the current vision of our future with emerging technologies; specifically space technology, genetic engineering, and AI.
Unfortunately, a handful of students “light-years” beyond their peers’ ambition to create the future do not contain the power to disrupt the education system, specifically. 🙄 Why?
Generations X and Y were raised with the education system to learn to reply and potentially understand a certain concept of general information and receive a job application. Yet Generation Z’s purpose is to learn with the intention to understand information, develop advanced skillsets with core values, and apply knowledge with a universal consciousness of the global outcomes to become disruptors of society to make an impact on the world. 😄
Just like how the US started to truly address racism, police brutality, feminism, etc. in 2020, there was an event that led people to address their unsatisfactions about society through technology. The future of mankind needs to start being addressed to society, especially our previous generations (ex. adults, grandparents, etc.).
We can all agree to some extent that 2020 has been the year of uncertainty for the human race. However:
Consciousness is accelerating. Intelligence is accelerating. Growth is accelerating. The human race is accelerating. So should Generation Z.
Now that we understand my worries about the future, we just need to find a way on how to address this. We need to find a kickstart, Gen Z. Help me…. Wait a minute… That’s it!!!
The Human Accelerator
Well, that was an exhausting amount of text… Right? Was that a bunch of “useless facts”? Maybe there are some of you who stand for justice to be served or want to invent something cool, but never knew how to be innovative? Believe me, I have been there. I felt there was no other way and it was just luck until COVID-19 devoured Earth in failure…sorry, Opportunity!

Guess what, Gen Z? All of you are the innovation I have been talking about. I want to tutor you, to guide you, to teach you the consciousness of the present and the intelligence of the future… If you are ambitious enough to make an impact in the world.
If you are ready, some resources I would highly recommend are:
But the greatest resource I can give you is The Knowledge Society (TKS). TKS is a human accelerator program that takes young, ambitious teens and shows them a new approach to life and education. This is the program I am currently part of, and it will initiate in September online (obviously, if you’re seeing this in 2020). My journey in TKS will be a work in progress, however, I know deep down in my soul, it will be a life-changing program. If you are intrigued, you can learn more about TKS here.😄
Finally, I want to end my pain and optimism of the future with something everyone relies on a daily basis: Music.😄 During quarantine, I experimented with different genres of music and this song had inspirational lyrics for me to suggest to you innovators (Warning: Explicit Lyrics).
Together we are, a powerful force, as one, mind, body and soul
Let no evil enter nor attempt to reduce us because of the beliefs we hold
And with this love, combined with our strength, we ward off pain and stress
Technician I am, wholeheartedly, in life, and in death.
Now if you excuse me, my computer is at a low battery. It was a pleasure to have this conversation with all of you. Please stand by while my device re-charges to the full battery so it can produce innovative and inspirational content. Have a good night’s rest and wear your mask. Oh yeah, and innovate the future. Did I not mention that earlier? 😄
